Follow the Rainbow at Astronomy on Tap – Tucson, AZ, Oct. 21st at the Borderlands Brewing Co.

This month, #SpaceDrafts is with Dr. Theodora Karalidi (Steward Observatory):

Rainbows on Exoplanets: Searching for Signs of Clouds and Life on Other Worlds
The holy grail in the study of exoplanets is to find something like Earth – similar in size, and in the habitable zone, and featuring liquid water. Theodora Karalidi looks for liquid water by looking for the same signal they produce in the atmosphere of our planets.

And rainbows.

Come talk to her about her work, and answer her tricky questions for a shot at cool prizes – we’ll have telescopes setup outside at sunset if it is clear!

The Borderlands Brewing Company (119 E. Toole Ave., Tucson)
