November marks the 1 year anniversary of AoTATX as well as the 100th anniversary of the publication of Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity and we’ll be celebrating both of these momentous occasions on Nov 17th with 3 space-time altering talks about general relativity:

A Brief Introduction to General Relativity
Prof. Pawan (aka Prof. Pawan Kumar) will give us all a little primer on the basics of GR.

Why We Should Give a Rat’s @$& About Pure Science Research
Author and professor Cosmicat (aka Prof. Renee James) will convince us all that we should care about pure science research, including Einstein’s theories of relativity.

Fun With Gravitational Lenses
One of our fearless leaders, MC High-z (aka Dr. Rachael Livermore), will talk to us about one of the coolest consequences of general relativity: gravitational lenses.
