Astronomy on Tap – Lansing – August 2017

With the solar eclipse of 2017 just around the corner, come hang out with us at The Loft on August 9th for tasty beverages and exciting science. We’ll be learning about the eclipse and how to view it safely with John French from MSU’s Abrams Planetarium and MSU PhD student Mike Pajkos will be telling us about globular clusters and how they are the Dr. Frankensteins of the Universe. During the breaks test out your astronomy knowledge with our trivia game and use your answer sheets as entry into our raffle — we’ll have some great prizes! Stick around for the end of the night and you’ll get a chance to ask local astronomers your burning questions about the universe.

The doors will open at 7pm and event will kick off at 7:30pm. Pie Hole Pizza Truck will be parked out in front of The Loft and Taps 25, so check it out if you’ll be showing up hungry! You can also bring food from one of your other favorite Lansing restaurants and enjoy it during the event.

As always, this is a FREE event. We look forward to seeing you!
