In our July event, we will have three more great talks for you, from three super people:

    • Niall Whiteford (Institute for Astronomy, Edinburgh)
Exoplanets – How do we find them?
Before the 1990s we didn’t know if planets existed beyond our solar system. However, in the last two decades there has been nearly 4000 detected, with this tally increasing every week. In this talk we will explore some to the methods used to detected these astronomical jewels
      .
    • Lewis Lappin (Institute for Astronomy, Edinburgh)
You Are Now Entering a 671000000Mph Zone.
The speed of light, c, is probably the most famous and widely used constant in Physics. It appears everywhere, from E=mc^2, to Star Wars, but where does it come from? How does this limit affects us, and how we can use it to our advantage?
      .
    • Dr Libby Jones (UK Astronomy Technology Centre)
