AoT-Tucson #62: From Grains to Blackholes @ Borderlands Brewing Co. September 25th

Tucson’s local flavor of Astronomy on Tap, #SpaceDrafts, presents its 62nd edition with Dr. Stephanie Juneau and Dr. Sebastiaan Krijt:

Blowin’ in the (black hole) wind: Tales from the telescopes – Stephanie Juneau

Building planets one grain at a time – Sebastiaan Krijt

Please join the astronomer Stephanie Juneau from NOAO and Sebastiaan Krijt from Steward Observatory as they tell us about telescope observations of black holes and formation of planets from small grains! Stephanie focuses on galaxy evolution, supermassive black holes, and active galaxies at the National Optical Astronomy Observatory. Sebastiaan studies the early stages of planet formation at the University of Arizona’s Steward Observatory as a NASA Hubble Fellow.
