On November 19, join Astronomy on Tap ATX for our 5th anniversary show at #AoTATX62! Dr. David Wilson will tell us about the exciting science behind Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker! We will then hear from Dr. Will Coogan, Chief Engineer for Genesis Lander at Firefly Aerospace, about the lunar lander Firefly Aerospace is building. Prof. Caroline Morley at UT Austin will close the night by telling us about exoplanets!
#AoTATX62 will be hosted by our Host Stars, Chaos Cloud (Rebecca Larson) and Deep Space Shine (Dr. Micaela Bagley)! In addition, #AoTATX62 will feature Astronomy News by Whatamerger Jr. (Jackie Champagne) and It’s a TRAPPIST (Danny Krolikowski), trivia, and new AoTATX merchandise. Finally, we will have telescopes on hand to look for exciting objects in the night sky (weather permitting)! Join us for a night full of astronomy fun over pints of beer!
