Astronomy on Tap Triangle #20: Tuesday, March 3, 2020

Come check out Astronomy on Tap Triangle, our North Carolina chapter of short and engaging talks about astronomy over beer, held at the taproom of Fullsteam Brewery in Durham, NC — this is our twentieth event held from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, March 3rd!

Join us for talks on the small hot stars– Dr. Brad Barlow* and Nathan Grinalds** will discuss the very hot remnants of stars that just died or are dying!

*Dr. Brad Barlow is an Associate Professor of Astrophysics at High Point University where he researches hot subdwarf stars, asteroseismology, and stellar evolution, to name a few subjects. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Physics from UNC Chapel Hill, and his B.S. in Physics from Mississippi State University.

**Nathan Grinalds is a senior undergraduate student at High Point University in Dr. Brad Barlow’s research group.

Our FREE Astronomy on Tap events feature accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
