Astronomy on Tap Taipei: October 23rd

We are happy to announce a brand new Astronomy on Tap event on the 23rd of October! With the discovery of phosphine in the atmosphere of Venus, a possible biomarker of life, these are certainly exciting times for the search of life elsewhere in the universe!

Howard Chen, PhD candidate at the Northwestern University in Chicago, will tell us everything about this search in his talk “The hunt for life in the universe: worlds beyond earth”. Howard studies distant rocky planets around small red stars by modelling the atmospheres of these exoplanets. These models help observational astronomers predict and interpret future observations of habitable exoplanets!

We will start at 8pm on Friday the 23rd of October at Ooh Cha Cha (Technology Building).
We also have lots of exciting astronomy news and our famous quiz where you can win nice prizes!
