Astronomy on Tap Triangle #23: Tuesday, November 11, 2020

Come check out Astronomy on Tap Triangle, our North Carolina chapter of short and engaging talks about astronomy over beer, held virtually on YouTube — this is our twenty-third event held from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, November 10th!

At our second event in the fall of 2020, you be mesmerized by the fantasies of time travel, and you’ll learn about what astrophysical possibilities could actually exist. We’ll hear from Reece Boston, a UNC graduate student how “Time Travel Doesn’t Work That Way!”

Reece Boston is a fifth-year graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill where he works on gravitational physics and simulating stellar pulsations under Dr. Charles Evans. Reece received his M.S. at the University of Georgia and his B.S. at Georgia College and State University.

Our FREE Astronomy on Tap events feature accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
