Astronomy on Tap – Lansing #2: September 1st at the Beer Grotto

Owing to the amazing turn out at our first ever Astronomy on Tap at the Beer Grotto in Lansing, we’ll be having our second event on Tuesday, September 1st at 7:30pm.  Our second event will include two great talks by Abrams Planetarium Director Dr. Shannon Schmoll and MSU Professor Dr. Sean Couch.  Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the diverse astronomy going on in Chile and the energetic nature of explosions in space!

We’ll also have drink specials on the following featured beers from Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale, prepared specially for AoTLansing!

  • Cascadian Galaxy IPA: American and Australian hops meet up for our stellar IPA.
  • Cerveza de la Luna: An easy drinking lager inspired by the German-influenced Mexican tradition of brewing and our partner in orbit, the Moon!
  • Marz Lander: A smooth and malty Marzen (Oktoberfest) style beer to celebrate the Red Planet.

As with our last event, we’re expecting a big crowd to make sure to come a bit early to snag a good seat!
