Astronomy on Tap ATX #12: October 20 at The North Door

We’re at The North Door again on the third Tuesday of the month with 3 awesome talks:

People Powered Research: Stories From the Zooniverse
Windy City Astro (aka Dr. Laura Trouille from the Adler Planetarium in Chicago) will talk to us about how each one of you can get involved in cutting edge astronomy research from the comfort of your own home.

I Come From An Observatory Down Under
Dr. Destructo (aka Dr. Brad Tucker from the Australian National University in Canberra) will describe some of the AUSome astronomy he does Down Under (like searching for exploding stars, palling around with kangaroos, and winemaking!).

Tales From the Outer Solar System
The founder of Astronomy on Tap, OGAoT (aka Dr. Meg Schwamb from the Academia Sinica in Taipei) will tell us about Pluto and his brethren in the Kuiper Belt at the edge of the Solar System.
