Get ready for round three of Astronomy on Tap at The Beer Grotto- Lansing! For our third event, we will take you on a journey to everyone’s favorite red planet, Mars. While sipping on a delicious craft beverage, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the history of the scientific discoveries proving that water exists on the fourth rock from the sun and what that tells us about it’s past and present. We’ll also take you through the science of the new hit movie, “The Martian”, and highlight the real steps that NASA is taking in order to prepare for a future trip to our dusty red neighbor. Attendees will have the chance to win a handful of Mars-themed Astronomy on Tap raffle prizes and pick the brains of local astronomers.

The featured speakers for the event are MSU PhD students Rachel Salmon and Austin Edmister, and Astronomy on Tap’s very own Dr. Devin Silvia, NSF Astronomy and Astrophysics Postdoctoral Fellow.

There will also be drinks specials for participants!
