The Lowdown on the OSIRIS-REx Mission
What are Asteroids Made Of?

This month’s edition of Space Drafts is on Asteroid Day(!!!) will feature two of Arizona’s top rock people! Dr. Daniella Della Giustina (LPL) is the image processing lead for the OSIRIS-REx mission that will launch later this year to asteroid Bennu, collect a sample and return it to work! What will we learn from Bennu? Well Prof. Vishnu Reddy will tell us about what asteroids are made of, and what we can infer about the composition of the early solar system. As always, we’ll have telescopes setup outside if it’s clear, and there will be hot pizza and cold beer. June 29th, 7pm at Borderlands Brewing Company! RSVP!
