Astronomy on Tap ATX #45: June 19, 2018

This June, we have talks on high redshift galaxies, active galactic nuclei, and dusty galaxies. Prof. Casey Papovich is going to talk about the most distant galaxies we have studied with the Hubble Space Telescope; Matt Stevans will discuss the observational signatures of AGN; and finally Dr. Justin Spilker will tell us about using the largest radio antenna array, ALMA, to study those dusty galaxies.

AoTATX45 will be hosted by our Binary Host Stars, A$AP Rocky Planet (Raquel Martinez) and AstroBoz (Dr. Brandon Bozek)! In addition, AoTATX45 will feature Astronomy News by Major Merger (Sinclaire Manning) and MCMC Hammer (Sam Factor), trivia, and AoTATX merchandise.  Finally, we will have telescopes on hand to look for exciting objects in the night sky (weather permitting)! Join us for a night full of astronomy fun over pints of beer.
