Mark your calendars!
Astronomy on Tap returns on Thursday, September 5th at 6:30 pm at New Bohemia Brewing Co, in Santa Cruz, CA.
Astronomy in Antarctica! In our special, back-to-school Astronomy on Tap this month we will hear from two UCSC graduate students, Sarah Neuhaus from the Earth & Planetary Sciences department and Rachel Bowens-Rubin from the Astronomy & Astrophysics department, about their experiences doing field work in Antarctica. Sarah is a glaciologist that studies microbial life as a proxy for potential life in the solar system. Rachel worked with the BICEP team to study the cosmic microwave background.
Our events are for everyone, so please bring your curiosity, questions, and love for space. Happy hour extends for the duration of the event, in addition to food trucks, trivia, and swag! Astronomy on Tap is free of charge and open to all ages
