AoT Las Vegas – “Backyard” Telescopes

Join us after a long hiatus for our Astronomy on Tap, Las Vegas event: Backyard Telescopes! Enjoy the brews of Astronomy Aleworks in Henderson while hearing about the universe and competing in space-themed trivia (with prizes)! Prepare for trivia questions ranging from science to sci-history to sci-fi. The event begins promptly at 7 pm for ages 21+ only. A ticket will be required and can be reserved (for free) the week of the event (stay tuned!).
This event the Galactic Hunter, Antoine Grelin, will join us to share about his astrophotography and hobby observing in your backyard. Then local astrophysicists, Dr. Jason Steffen will tell us about the Webb Telescope observing the beginning of time and exoplanets from the backyard of Earth. No prior knowledge needed.
Our AoT team consists of researchers from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. We research in a wide range of topics from planets to black holes. We wish to share our research in engaging and accessible events like this one. Follow us at Astronomy on Tap, Las Vegas.
