Speaker Bio:
Binh Nguyen is a second-year PhD student in Astronomy at UW. Binh is working with Prof. Arianna Long to search for tiny neighbors of massive, quenched galaxies in the early Universe. Outside of academia, Binh’s translation of The Tale of Kiều, an eighteenth-century Vietnamese verse novel, will be published in Spring 2025, and is now available for pre-order in the UK! But here at AOT, Binh is (and should be!!!) best known for making trivia quizzes, with excellent multiple-choice questions like: “What’s a similarity between Enceladus and Canada?” “A. They both have extraterrestrials.”
