SUMMARY:Astronomy on Tap Montréal: Cardboard Telescope and Sci-Fi Exoplanets
DESCRIPTION:***This event will be held in English – Cet évènement sera tenu en anglais *** \nAstronomy on Tap MTL offers you astronomy nights in bars\, organised by professional astronomers of Montréal. Our events are free and open to everyone (18+)\, whether you are curious\, amateur\, or passionate about astronomy. Join us for our October event to discover how you can explore the radio Universe with a surprisingly simple tool: a radio telescope made out of cardboard! Then\, we’ll take a trip through science fiction to ask whether the strange and fascinating exoplanets imagined on screen and in books actually hold up to what astronomers know today. As always\, you will also get to play games with prizes to win\, and talk with our wonderful crew of researchers. No tickets needed but seats are limited\, so arrive early.
