Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles: Alien Oceans & Supermassive Black Holes

Join us at 7:30PM PST, Monday, May 20th for Astronomy on Tap at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from NASA Jet Propulsion Research Scientist Dr. Kevin Hand: “Alien Oceans and the Search for Life in the Depths of Space,” as well as Caltech PhD Candidate Jean Somalwar: “How do Supermassive Black Holes Form?” In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes, and live music with local rockstar Jason Achilles! Lastly, Kevin Hand will host a signing of his new book: “Alien Oceans and the Search for Life in the Depths of Space” with copies available for purchase.
