Astronomy on Tap – Atlanta showcases current astronomy and astrophysics research conducted by faculty and graduate students of Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Agnes Scott College. Talks are geared toward the general public, and have included topics such as supermassive black holes, the expansion rate of the Universe, the Milky Way, Galactic Archaeology, life cycles of stars, and much more. Events also consist of recent space news, games and prizes, and a stargazing session with a 6-inch Celestron NexStar 8SE Go-To Telescope.
