Astronomy on Tap – St. Louis: Seeing the Universe with Lights, Waves, Particles and Fridges
April 25, 2025 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Join us for an evening of space, science, and conversation at Astronomy on Tap – St. Louis. This month, we’ll explore how we observe the Universe using multiple cosmic messengers and innovative experimental tools.
We will have Associate Professor Bhupal Dev and graduate student Ephraim Gau guiding us through two fascinating perspectives on how we study the cosmos, one from the frontier of multi-messenger discoveries and the other from the heart of experimental astrophysics.
Bhupal Dev – “A New Era of Multi-Messenger Astronomy”
Ephraim Gau – “Experimental Hard X-ray Astrophysics: Or, sending fridges, semiconductors, and superconductors (halfway) to space”
Plus: A round of space-themed trivia with fun prizes
