Talks from real life scientists in the areas of Astronomy & Cosmology with Quizzes & Games. Come along, have a pint and learn some science in a local Portsmouth pub!
Astronomy on Tap is a new series of events to be held every three months, each with a different theme. The next event will on the 28th February 2018 at the Kings Pub (address below) with talks all about Supernovae. Find out more from experts in the field; Dr Chris Frohmaier on ‘Explosions in the Sky: The Science of Supernovae’, and Dr Ed Macaulay on ‘The Deaths of Stars and Dark Energy’.
As usual there will also be a quiz with space-themed prizes to be won, and opportunities to pose your burning questions about the Universe to astronomers and cosmologists from the University of Portsmouth!
Doors open at 19:15, with the first talk starting promptly at 19:30. The event ends at 22:30.
Events are ages 16+ and entry is free.
