AoT BCS #51
September 28 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Join us at the Grand Stafford Theater for the 51st installation of Astronomy on Tap BCS! We’ll have a talk by Kaitlin Webber (Red Lights, Long Nights), and Dr. Louis Strigari (How the Sun Shines: Seeing the Sun in Neutrinos). We will also have the usual assortment of trivia, Astronomy in the News by Nikko Cleri, and What’s Up by Yaswant Devarakonda. The event will also be live-streamed on YouTube at tx.ag/aotlive. As always, AoT BCS is FREE and open to all ages. Come listen to astronomers share the wonders of the Universe.
Kaitlin Webber is a 3rd year graduate student at Texas A&M. For her research, she does chemical analysis of stars in ultra-faint dwarf galaxies and stellar streams to investigate the nucleosynthesis processes that chemically enriched the Universe.
Louis Strigari has been a Physics & Astronomy Professor at Texas A&M University since 2014. He is an expert in dark matter and neutrino astrophysics, and interconnections between high energy physics and astronomy.
