Astronomy on Tap Aspen: Galaxies & Asteroids

September 3 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM MDT

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Tuesday, September 3rd for a very special Astronomy on Tap in Aspen, Colorado! We’ll hear from Caltech / Carnegie postdoctoral fellow Nicole Sanchez: “Galaxies, Supermassive Black Holes, and Waffles,” and Harvard / Smithsonian Researcher Martin Elvis: “Love, Fear, and Greed: An Asteroid Story.”  In addition, we will have telescopes on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!

These events are being hosted by the crew from Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles in collaboration with the Aspen Center for Physics to aid in public education efforts through Aspen.

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.  For more information about our future events and affiliated Stargazing Lecture Series at Caltech, see our website.
