Astronomy on Tap is bringing the show on the road to the path of totality in Rochester, NY!

RMSC After Dark: Galactic Getdown on Saturday, April 6 from 6:30 to 10:30 pm

Explore the uniquely-Rochester exhibits, scope other planets at science on a sphere, get a jolt from the electricity theater, dance to your own beat at the silent disco in the Strasenburgh Planetarium, and drink in the Universe with engaging & accessible presentations from scientists in the Bausch Auditorium! Each set will be about 30 minutes long, with trivia available between presentations and online (look for the QR code).

Our schedule for the evening:

• 7 pm – The Cosmology of Astronomy on Tap by Emily Rice (CUNY, AMNH, AoT HQ, Rochester native!)
• 8 pm – Revealing the Hidden Crown of the Sun by Sara Rosborough (RIT)
• 9 pm – Einstein’s Eclipse by Matt Stanley (NYU & U of R alum)
• 10 pm – Trivia answers and prizes

ASL interpretation will be provided!

Tickets available here ($40 Members, $45 General Admission)

This is a 21 and older event, and will include a cash bar, DJ and food. Must have proof of ID at the door.

Usually our events are free, but we are thrilled to support this fundraiser for the Rochester Museum & Science Center and celebrate the work they have done to prepare western New York for totality!
