Speaker: GSU Astrophysics Lecturer and Astronomy on Tap Atlanta Program Manager Dr. Justin Robinson

Abstract: Step back into the turn of the new millennium, an era that revolutionized our cosmic perspective. Powered by groundbreaking telescope launches, this pivotal decade shaped modern-day astrophysics by discovering phenomena like the accelerating universe, strange new exoplanets, and the ubiquity of supermassive black holes. From gazing back in time with the Hubble Deep Field to tracking invisible dark energy, discover how ten transformative years laid the foundation for the cutting-edge research defining astronomy today.
