Astronomy on Tap Boston: Science (in) Fiction

Join us for another edition of Astronomy on Tap at Democracy Brewing in Boston at 6:30pm on August 10th! We will have talks and trivia about astrophysics in movies and TV. This event will feature talks by Lisa Drummond (PhD student at MIT) and Devin Becker (PhD student at MIT) on the science behind some of your favorite science fiction movies, including Interstellar and Don’t Look Up!

Each FREE Astronomy on Tap event features accessible, engaging science presentations on topics that reveal the mysterious of our Universe! Most events also have games and prizes to test your new knowledge! There is also plenty of time to ask questions, interact with presenters, and chat with other scientists who stick around for a beer.
