Astronomy on Tap Cardiff – Dying Stars

Astronomy on Tap is back on the 21st of March at Porters, Cardiff for another fantastic evening of talks from experts in their field!

This month’s theme is about Dying Stars with Cardiff University’s finest discussing some of the most spectacular deaths in the universe. PhD candidate Holly Davies will be discussing the final moments of a stars life and the varieties of deaths. The death of stars can lead to some glorious remnants called planetary nebula, a speciality of Dr Roger Wesson who will be discussing the impact of the beautiful aftermath of a stars death.

In addition to these terrific talks, we’ll be having our classic quiz with prizes for first, second and third! As well as other staff from the Uni at the event to answer all your pressing Astronomy questions.
