Astronomy on Tap Cardiff – Enigmatic Black Holes

Happy new year! Astronomy on Tap is back on the 25th of January in Cardiff for another fantastic evening of talks from experts in their field!

This month’s theme is about Gravitational Waves with post doctoral researchers from Cardiff University discussing the largest collisions in the universe. Dr Debatri Chattopadhyay will be broaden our understanding of the theory behind black holes, looking at their different types and how we know they exist. Finally, Dr Alex Gottel will be showing how astronomers detect these massive objects in black hole mergers.

In addition to these terrific talks, we’ll be having our classic quiz with prizes for first, second and third! As well as other staff from the Uni at the event to answer all your pressing Astronomy questions.
