Astronomy on Tap Copenhagen: Virtual Space
February 5, 2022 @ 6:30 PM CET

Astronomy on Tap is a (FREE) series of events aimed at making the latest research in astronomy and space accessible to the public, with fun talks given in simple ENGLISH, and quiz, and plenty of time for mingling between our speakers and guests.
This time last year AoT went online, and thought that we would have some talks about ‘Virtual Space’! Also known as, Simulations! While looking through telescopes is really cool, astronomers use simulations and theory to help make sense of the universe.
Our speakers are:
Dr. Antoine Petit (KU/Lund): is a postdoc and will tell us about how he uses N-body simulations to look at how planets grow.
Dr Aswin Vijayan (DTU): is a postdoc and will talk about the role of cosmological simulations to better understand galaxy formation and evolution as well as the challenges in running these simulations.
