Astronomy on Tap Death Valley: Cosmic Rays and Legends of the Night Sky

March 1 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM PST

Join us at 7:30PM PST, Friday, March 1st for a very special Astronomy on Tap in Death Valley as part of the Death Valley Dark Sky Festival! We’ll hear from NASA scientist Dr. Kathryn Plant: “The Mystery of Cosmic Rays,” as well as Caltech PhD candidate Kaustav Das: “The Starry Tapestry: Myths and Legends of the Night Sky.”  In addition, we will have telescopes on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!

These events are being hosted by the crew from Astronomy on Tap, Los Angeles, as part of the Death Valley Dark Sky Festival, a weekend of astronomy and space science out in one of the darkest skies in the United States.

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.  For more information about our future events and affiliated Stargazing Lecture Series at Caltech, see our website.
