Astronomy on Tap Flagstaff | Astronomy at the Movies: Space Disasters!

September 14 @ 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM MST

Free
This summer, Astronomy on Tap Flagstaff is bringing you double the science up at Arizona Snowbowl! We’re holding special events at Agassiz Lodge, where you can enjoy food and drink while watching fascinating science talks. Be sure to stick around for trivia, where you’ll have a chance to win incredible Lowell Observatory and Snowbowl prizes. After the event, take a ride up the Arizona Gondola to catch the sunset from 11,500 feet!
This month’s speaker is Lowell planetary scientist Dr. Teddy Kareta, who will review the scientific accuracy and quality of space disaster movies such as Armageddon, Deep Impact, and Don’t Look Up. We’ll see you there!
Astronomy on Tap Flagstaff events are free and require no ticket. You can purchase your Sunset Gondola tickets here: https://www.snowbowl.ski/sunset-gondola-rides/
