Astronomy on Tap Grand Canyon: Mars Rocks and Comets

October 22, 2023 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM MST

Join us at 7:00PM AZT, Sunday, October 22nd for Astronomy on Tap at Grand Canyon National Park! We’ll hear from Northern Arizona University Postdoc Dr. Jennifer Buz: “Mars Rocks,” and Lowell Observatory postdoctoral fellow Dr. Qicheng Zhang: “How Bright is a Comet, Really?”  In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!

These events are being hosted by the crew from Astronomy on Tap, Los Angeles.  Dr. Cameron Hummels, the host from Astronomy on Tap, Los Angeles, is the Astronomer in Residence at the Grand Canyon this fall, so he is producing some Astronomy on Tap events in the Grand Canyon this season.

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.
