Astronomy on Tap Grand Canyon: Stellar Evolution & Black Holes

October 11, 2023 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM MST

Join us at 7:30PM AZT, Wednesday, October 11th for Astronomy on Tap at the North Rim Lodge at Grand Canyon National Park! We’ll hear from Caltech postdoctoral fellow Dr. Rocio Kiman: “The Evolution of the Stars” and Caltech postdoctoral fellow Dr. Javier Roulet: “Black Holes and Gravitational Waves.”  In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!

These events are being hosted by the crew from Astronomy on Tap, Los Angeles.  Dr. Cameron Hummels, the host from Astronomy on Tap, Los Angeles, is the Astronomer in Residence at the Grand Canyon this fall, so he is producing some Astronomy on Tap events in the Grand Canyon this season.

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.
