Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles: Exoplanet Atmospheres & The Deep Space Network

July 11 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM EDT

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Monday, July 11th for an in-person Astronomy on Tap at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from Dr. Ashley Baker: “How to Build an Instrument in 365 Days to Study Exoplanet Atmospheres” and from Dr. Joseph Lazio: “The Deep Space Network: Science from Across the Solar System.” In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing as well as astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!  There will also be live-music in between talks from the amazing Jason Achilles.

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.  For more information about our future events and affiliated lecture+stargazing series at Caltech, see our website.
