Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles in Death Valley: Planetary Detection & Space Volcanoes

February 10, 2023 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM PST

Join us at 7:30PM PT, Friday, February 10th for a very special Astronomy on Tap in Death Valley. We’ll hear from Max Goldberg: “Not All Who Wander Are Planets,” and Professor Katherine de Kleer: “The Solar System’s Volcanic Wonderland.”  We’ll host these two ~15 minute talks, Q&A, and then follow it up with interactive, astronomical pub trivia and guided stargazing all in a pristine dark-sky location as part of the Death Valley Dark Sky Festival! Event will be held at the Badwater Saloon, at Stovepipe Wells, in Death Valley National Park. Join us and stick around for all of the other activities at the Dark Sky Festival that weekend!

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.  For more information about our future events and affiliated lecture+stargazing series at Caltech, see our website.
