RESCHEDULED TO WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28th @ 7:30PM!
Join us at 7:30PM PST, Wednesday, February 28th for Astronomy on Tap at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from author, cartoonist, and space advocate Zach Weinersmith promoting his new book regarding the science and ethics of space settlements: “A City on Mars: Can We Settle Space, Should We Settle Space, and Have We Really Thought This Through?” as well as Caltech PhD candidate Maria Camarca describing the various planetary surface compositions in our Solar System: “The Many Fabrics of Our Solar System: Texture, Color, and Meaning.” In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, live music by Jason Achilles and Forrest Mitchell, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!
