Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles: Starquakes & Binary Stars

August 19 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM PDT

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Monday, August 19th for Astronomy on Tap at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from NASA scientist Catherine Clark: “Two Is Better Than One: Binaries Across the Universe” as well as Caltech PhD student Nicholas Rui “Starquakes and Stellar Surprises.”  In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes, and live music with local rockstar Jason Achilles!

The event is free and open to all ages.  No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page.  For more information about our future events and affiliated Stargazing Lecture Series at Caltech, see our website.
