Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles: Extraterrestrial Civilizations & Gravitational Waves

Join us at 7:30PM PST, Monday, April 29th for Astronomy on Tap at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from NASA Jet Propulsion Research Scientist Dr. Joseph Lazio: “Technosignatures on Tap: Searching for Extraterrestrial Civilizations,” as well as UCLA Associate Professor Dr. Smadar Naoz: “Gravitational Wave Sources at the Heart of Galaxies.” In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes, and live music with local rockstars Jason Achilles and Forrest Mitchell!
