Astronomy on Tap Louisville: Galaxies

Galaxies can be considered machines to turn gas into stars. We will discuss the basics of star formation in extragalactic astrophysics and discuss the exciting new missions and surveys. Knowing galactic star formation will provide answers about the processes that ultimately result in new stars, new planets, and (at least in one case) new life. Come hear details with Kyle Cook. We will meet at Monnik Beer Co., 1036 E Burnett Ave, Louisville KY 40217 at 7pm in the Upper Room.
