Astronomy On Tap Lyon: June 2024

Here we are! Astronomy on Tap Lyon is back with our fifth event, the last one before summer break! Join us next THURSDAY (yes, this time is not on a Wednesday), June 27th starting at 20:00. The event is FREE and everyone is welcome! You will find beers and food and we speak both French and English!

Et voilà! Astronomy on Tap Lyon est de retour, le dernier avant l’été!!  C’est l’évènement où on vous présente de la recherche en astrophysique par des astronomes de Lyon. Les présentations se feront en anglais cette fois mais les jeux sont présentés en français et en anglais. Donc venez apprendre avec nous, on fera notre mieux pour traduire et inclure tout le monde !! Les questions et discussions en français sont les très bienvenues !

The event will take place at the famous Elephant and Castle bar in the Old Town of Lyon, and as last time, we will be in the main room! You will find us as soon as you enter the bar!

We will have two presentations (~20 minutes long) followed by a fun game:
(1)  Arthur Le Saux will present “Music of the stars”
(2)  Ines Torres will present “Life on Mars: has it ever existed?”
(3)  Quiz time!!

There might also be smaller games and quizzes hidden throughout the talks…Join us to find out!!
