Launch Event!! Astronomy on Tap – Nashville: From Gravitational waves to Cosmology

Astronomy on Tap has finally made its way to the Music City!! Come join us for our inaugural event hosted at the Jackalope Brewing Company in Nashville, TN!

To kick us off, we’ll have astronomy trivia as well as two of Vanderbilt University’s very own to thrill us with the mysteries of the universe. Join us as Bill Smith takes us through the history of Cosmology, while Dr. Stephen Taylor reveals how we detect Gravitational Waves — all while sipping on a cold one!

Guests will be welcome to enter the event space at the event start time. Our staff will be hard at work preparing the event space beforehand and we would appreciate having the space clear. If guests arrive early, they are welcome to grab a pint in our downstairs tap room! Limited free street parking is available on Houston St. as well as the surrounding streets in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood. There is a paid gravel lot behind the brewery. Please take note of any signs for pay lots, including the Park Happy lot in front of our building, as Jackalope Brewing Co. will not be held responsible for any tickets or subsequent towing of vehicles, per our event contract. Any guests needing a handicap-accessible entrance are welcome to use our office door which leads directly to The Loft, located behind the building in the alley between Pillow Street and Brown Street.
