Astronomy on Tap NYC #133: Celebrating Black History Month

FreeJoin us for the 133rd Astronomy on Tap NYC event, and the next in our monthly series at Pete’s Candy Store! Astronomy on Tap is fun and informative, with professional scientists and educators plus games, prizes, and a bit of learning while drinking.
This month, we celebrate black excellence in science with a Black History Month event featuring two excellent speakers:
•Lev Parsons, Rutgers PhD Candidate, on his work using sulfur to understand Mars’ ancient climate.
•Marcus Dormena, AMNH Education, on why black holes are not scary.
Co-hosted by Astro on Tap’s MC Tycho Brewhaha, aka Brian Levine, and Biology on Tap’s MC Solo-gin Brown, aka Hampton Humber, we will have trivia for prizes after the talks. Doors open at 6:45pm, event start at 7pm SHARP. Arrive early to get your seats, grab a drink, and settle in for science talks, trivia, prizes, and fun!
