Astronomy on Tap NYC 148: The Dark Night Rises

Join us for the Astronomy on Tap NYC’s Dark Night Rises event, and the next in our monthly series at Pete’s Candy Store! Astronomy on Tap is fun and informative, with professional scientists and educators, plus games, prizes, and a bit of learning while drinking.

This month we’ll be celebrating the approach of the winter solstice and the longest night of the year with an exploration into astrophysical darkness. Even on the darkest of nights, the cosmos will bring us light. And after all, the night is always darkest before dawn 🦇🦇

Just days before the winter solstice, let’s embrace the dark long winter nights together. Our speakers this month are:
•Emily McPike, CUNY
•Mary Jimenez, AMNH

Doors open at 6:45pm, event start at 7pm SHARP. Arrive early to get your seats, grab a drink, and settle in for science talks, trivia, prizes, and fun!
