Astronomy on Tap NYC 164: Trick or Treat or Telescope

Join us for the Astronomy on Tap NYC’s 164th event, and the next in our monthly series at Pete’s Candy Store! Astronomy on Tap is fun and informative, with professional scientists and educators, plus games, prizes, and a bit of learning while drinking.

This month: it’s the battle of the century! And also almost Halloween. Are you team space-based telescopes – where no one can hear you scream? Or team ground-based because the call is coming from inside the telescope?!? Who will survive, and who will just be tonight’s trick? You decide! (But seriously, more science than murder, we promise.) Featuring:
•Jose Adorno, on his travels to Chilean telescopes
•Sophie Newman, on recent JWST discoveries

Plus a dark, spooky scary trivia you can share at your next ghostly gathering! Doors open at 6:45pm, event start at 7pm SHARP. Arrive early to get your seats, grab a drink, and settle in for science talks, trivia, prizes, and fun!
