Astronomy on Tap Tucson #76: EHT, the Milky Way Edition + “IPAs” in Exotic Atmospheres
May 17, 2022 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM EDT

Tucson’s local flavor of Astronomy on Tap, Space Drafts, presents its 76th edition featuring Arash Roshanineshat from the Arizona Radio Observatory (ARO) and Sarah Moran from the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory (LPL)!
New Groundbreaking EHT Results: Milky Way Edition (How are radio telescopes used to capture images of black holes?) – Arash Roshanineshat & Brewing up Hazy IPAs (Inter-Planetary Aerosols) for Exotic Atmospheres – Sarah Moran
On tap this month, we have ARO graduate student Arash Roshanineshat telling about exciting new results from the Event Horizon Telescope on our very own Milky Way galaxy, and Dr. Sarah Moran from LPL talking about making “IPAs” for exotic (exo)planetary atmospheres!
We’ll be out on the patio of Borderlands Brewing Company (119 E. Toole Ave, Tucson AZ) at 7:30pm Arizona time (**please note the change from our usual time**) on May 17. In case you can’t make it in person, we’ll also be livestreaming at bit.ly/SpaceDrafts76!
