Astronomy on Tap Tucson #91: Eclipses + Hubble
September 19 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM MST

Tucson’s local flavor of Astronomy on Tap, Space Drafts, presents its 91st edition featuring Nick Schragal and Azalee Bostroem! Plus Astronomy in the News with Drs. Jackie Champagne and Danny Krolikowski!
Eclipses: From Earth to Exoplanets – Nick Schragal
&
The Hubble Space Telescope: more than just a pretty picture – Azalee Bostroem
On tap this month, we have Steward Observatory researchers Nick Schragal and Azalee Bostroem! Nick will talk about eclipses near and far and Azalee will teach us all about all the wonderful things the Hubble Space Telescope can do! We’ll also be hearing all about the latest Astronomy in the News from Dr. Jackie Champagne and Dr. Danny Krolikowski, so please join us to learn about the latest and greatest in the astronomical world.
We’ll be out on the patio of Borderlands Brewing Company (119 E. Toole Ave, Tucson AZ, accessible via stairs and a ramp) at 7:30pm Arizona time on September 19. There is street parking near the venue, and several bus lines run to the Toole/7th Ave. bus stop right next door. If you’re feeling up for a bit of walking, the Sun Link street car runs to Congress/6th Ave (if going westbound) or SL/Broadway/Church (if going eastbound), about half a mile away from Borderlands. However, if you can’t make it in person, you can also join us online at bit.ly/SpaceDrafts90!
