Astronomy on Tap in the Black Warrior Basin brings you fun, informal talks from astronomers in Alabama and Mississippi, along with trivia, prizes, the latest astronomy news, sometimes live music, and always beer! Our organizers are graduate students and faculty from the University of Alabama, the University of West Alabama, Mississippi State University, and the University of Mississippi. The Black Warrior Basin (shown in blue) is the geologic sedimentary basin that binds us together.
Our FREE events happen monthly, though the location varies. Events in Tuscaloosa, AL are held at Druid City Brewing Company, and events in Starkville, MS are held at Rick’s Cafe. Venues in other cities coming soon!
