Astronomy on Tap – Orlando is held on the third Tuesday of every month from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Oviedo Brewing Company (1280 Oviedo Mall Blvd #1095, Oviedo, FL 32765), about 15 minutes north of the University of Central Florida (UCF) campus. AoT Orlando was founded in November 2022 and is currently organized by a committee of UCF Planetary Sciences graduate students led by PhD candidate Kenny Gordon.
AoT Orlando features free, accessible, and engaging science presentations that cover all fields of astronomy, ranging from planets to galaxies to science in popular culture! In addition to talks, each event includes a round of trivia with a chance to win some cool space-themed prizes. Weather permitting, we also set up telescopes outside the brewery towards the end of the event for the general public to view the night sky!
