Astronomy on Tap in the Cradle of Astronauts (West Lafayette, IN)! Come learn about astronomy and planetary science in a fun casual setting! Featuring informal talks by professional scientists, fun trivia, prizes, and beer!
Currently, AoT CoA is organized by Purdue PhD students Noah Martin and Aleksey Mohov. The CoA satellite location of AoT was founded in September 2021 by Purdue PhD students Riley McGlasson and Moe Mijjum.
Why the name? Purdue University is known as the “Cradle of Astronauts” – 27 astronauts are Purdue alumni (including Neil Armstrong), and a Purdue alum has flown on about a third of all U.S. spaceflights. These include both commercial and NASA astronauts!
